3) Verify that the operating instructions are legible and facing outward.

4) Examine the extinguisher for obvious physical damage, corrosion, leakage or clogged nozzle.

5) Verify that the pressure gauge reading is in the operable range or position.

6) Verify that the HMIS label is in place.

7) Fullness is determined by weighing the extinguisher when inspecting a carbon dioxide extinguisher.
